Scotch geek’s beloved distilleries come on stage
At the heart of Blue Label Ghost and Rare - Port Ellen lies the highly sought-after Islay single malt, Port Ellen - a ‘ghost’ distillery that shut its doors in 1983. It is the second edition in a series of special releases created by Dr. Jim Beveridge and his team of blenders, using eight handpicked whiskies from Port Ellen and two other long-dormant distilleries and five equally rare single malt expressions, such as ‘sherryish’, preferred by Scotch geeks, and embodied in Blair Athol.
