“The liquids from small batch reserve casks must first contain all the credentials of Glen Ord character. Then, we need to find a cask which can subtly enhance complexity and vitality in the 41Yo, 42Yo & 43Yo.” - Maureen Robinson

Small batch reserved casks represent the highest standard of cask selection in the industry. After completing the difficult part of cask selection, Maureen Robinson used cask finishing to subtly enhance the flavor.

" The Forgotten Drop series " is made up of three distinct but equally important parts. Singleton 41 Yo features a traditional distillery flavor, while Singleton 42 Yo was selected from Amontillado-conditioned oak casks making for a stunning tail. The final release from this series, Singleton 43 Yo, was formed with "double sherry oak maturation" in the initial framework. Maureen Robinson coupled this with the smallest Firkin oak cask and a Muscat-conditioned oak cask to finally create the 43 Yo Final Edition - embodying a flavor line with vibrancy and richness.

The Singleton Through a Collector’s eyes

"The majority of new whisky explorers often associate Singleton with novelty. In the eyes of collectors however, its core success factor is the connoisseurs’ pursuit and appreciation of flavor which contributes to its high recognition amongst Chinese speaking regions. All of this boils down to the most fundamental necessities - an authentic sense of nosing and taste. The preciousness of The Forgotten Drop series (41 Yo, 42 Yo & 43 Yo) is compounded by the unusual nature of Glen Ord distillery in offering a collection of such maturity, dating all the way back from 1838.”- Vivi Shen
